Dr. Sheriff is a board certified Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence- based, high quality care to all her patients.

She completed medical school at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and her psychiatry residency at the Case Western Reserve University Metrohealth Medical program in Cleveland, Ohio. She went on to complete her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Baylor College of medicine in Houston, Texas. She has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and at Northeast Ohio College of Medicine.

She has special interests in child and adolescent mental health problems, anxiety, depressive disorders, and women's mental health. Cultural sensitivity, spirituality and ethics are also important aspects of patient care for her. She has extensive experience in the community health outpatient setting and believes that integrative health principles need to be included in the treatment plan for every patient with mental health needs.
